Guess who was monkeying with his personal webspace at lunchtime and managed to wipe his blog from existence ?
The posts are okay, but the uploaded photos are gone forever - as has the minimalist theme I had tinkered with.
Serves me right really.

Taken while cycling to work through the Harleyford Estate this morning. Cold, frosty mornings are awesome.

No, I have not invented a new language.
Following my admission earlier today that I will be taking part in “National Novel Writing Month” during November, a good friend that knows my other half enquired if we had heard of “National Knit a Sweater Month”.
She has heard of it now, and in the fashion of most lunatic knitters she is already pulling pattern books out of every nook and cranny of the house in pursuit of a pattern to suit the challenge appropriately.
While I attempt to write 50,000 words during November, my other half will be attempting 50,000 stitches. At least now I will have somebody to sit next to while churning out the words.
Our household is becoming more mad as each day passes.

If you had an eight year old daughter, would you want her to have Britney Spears as a role model ?
Do you ever wonder why on earth you write a blog?
I do.
Sometimes I have so much to say, and no time to write - at other times I want to write, but have nothing to say.
Go figure.
This is getting ridiculous. It’s approaching 2pm, and I’m struggling to stay awake. Burning the candle at both ends doesn’t seem to be good for me at all.
Anybody else out there feeling tired today?
Just read over at Slashdot…
There’s talk on The Minor Planet Mailing List about a small asteroid approaching Earth with a 99.8% probability of colliding. The entrance to the Earth’s atmosphere will take place October 7 at 0246 UTC (2:35 after this story goes live) over northern Sudan, releasing the energy of about a kiloton of TNT. The asteroid is assumed to be 3-4 meters in size; it is expected to burn up completely in the atmosphere, causing no harm. As a powerful bolide, it may put on quite a show in the sky. For those advanced enough in astronomy to observe, check the MPEC 2008-T50 and MPEC 2008-T64 circulars. NASA’s JPL Small Body Database has a 3D orbit view. The story has been already picked up by CNN and NASA.
Just had a typical journey on the London Underground. Thought I would share.
This morning was fairly typical - doesn’t say a lot for “people” in general, does it.
